Southeast Utah - October '24

Our adventure continued south to Arches and Canyonlands National Parks, and the Moab Slickrock Recreation Area. The scenery is simply stunning at every turn. Numerous rides and hikes took us to some incredible places, often away from the crowds.

Utah is notorious for free dispersed camping which is essentially camping off the road in a remote spot, as long as there is evidence of a prior traveler - usually a fire ring. We’ve spent many nights in spots all to ourselves amongst beautiful scenery. There are no services, but not a worry as Plumbean has all that we need. 75 square feet of space is plenty, especially when we double that with the outdoor space just outside the van!

My quest for the finest chocolate chip cookie has been disappointing so far. I truly miss Stacey’s home baked goods. So we bought a packet of Tollhouse cookie dough, and let Plumbean's kitchen go to work for us! It’s safe to say the toaster oven and frying pan makes a decent gooey cookie, but...

Next we head farther south to many more Utah parks.
